In 1994, Arkady joined the outstanding Pan-European quartet Pago Libre, hailed as “the Weather Report of the 21st century”. Since then Arkady and John have been playing together in various settings, from duos to big orchestras, recording no less than 15 albums with Pago Libre. Night in Gale is their first duo album augmented by the two outstanding Swiss vocalists Christian Zehnder and Marcello Wick. Night in Gale happens to be a real sonic adventure full of joy, intricate folk jazz chamber world music, constant surprises, mind-boggling solos, haunting rhythms, amazing melodies, spicy harmonies and dance grooves enriched with stunning vocal acrobatics.
