Simon Nabatov
With this new release Simon Nabatov continues his relentless drive towards the very heights of artistic endeavour. He put together a band of eleven great talents who are eager to contribute their creativity to the recording of Nabatov’s suite “Loves”. The suite is an hour long piece consisting of eight movements, each one of them named after a female. It is a suite of reflections on love as experienced and expressed between pairs of famous lovers in the arts (Sylvia is based on the relationship between Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, Ella is based on Gabriele Munter and Wassily Kandinsky, and so on). The booklet is accompanied by brilliant notes of Stuart Broomer.
