After a long silence, a new delight by the composer and bassist Enrico Fazio introducing his 12 piece big band Critical Mass. This is his third CD for Leo Records, full of carnival sounds and offbeat energies on six long pieces. According to ZEN, perfection is a divine feature, not human. Here is the origin of the title WABI SABI: a ZEN concept to be interpreted as “the beauty of imperfection”. Enrico Fazio follows Steve Lacy’s mantra: “If you are not ready to make mistakes, you ain’t going nowhere, right?” Enrico knows exactly where he is going and he is not afraid of making a mistake.
