Purchasing Audio Downloads –
After purchasing an audio download, an email will be sent to you (the same email address you made the purchase with) containing a downloadable link to a ZIP file. Once the file has been downloaded and opened, it will contain a folder of M4A audio files of each track of the album. When double-clicked, the files will typically open in iTunes, but can also be opened in other audio player applications.
Audio Quality –
The audio downloads are in an M4A format. M4A files are encoded with the lossy Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) codec, which is able to provide the same bitrates as MP3s, yet achieve tighter compression. This results in smaller file sizes, all while delivering higher audio quality. The sound quality of the downloads are effectively indistinguishable from the uncompressed CD versions despite being less than half the price and immediately accessible as audio files on your computer.
