“Songs from a farm” is the fifteenth edition of Pago Libre. The title “Songs from a farm” is not a gimmick — the music was actually created on a farm in Dinhard. The inspiration happened to be alpacas, pigs, hens, ravens and dwarf goats. The current line-up of the quartet is John Wolf Brennan (piano, melodica, mellotron), Arkady Shilkloper (Russian horn, alphorn), Ratus Flisch (bass), Florian Mayer (violin). The music embraces jazz, folk and classical elements from Ireland, Russia, Austria and the Swiss Alps. The 18 pieces can be subconsciously perceived as a suite.
