The Clarinet Trio
The 6th CD of the Clarinet Trio ‘Transformation and Further Passages’ marks the 25th anniversary of the project. For this occasion and as part of his own 65th birthday on November 2, 2022, Gebhard Ullmann and the Trio arranged the music by German Jazz Composers from the 1950s and 60s — music by Jutta Hipp, Joki Freund, Albert Mangelsdorff, Karl Berger, Joachim and Rolf Kühn, Erst Ludwig Petrowsky, Manfred Schoof and others. The name of the CD relates to the musical time travel from back then to today’s versions of the Clarinet Trio. From the U.S. to Leipzig to Frankfurt to New York City and back to (East) Berlin, from Heidelberg to New York City to Woodstock.
