Potsa Lotsa is an alternate name for Eric Dolhy’s tune “Number Eight”. While studying the archives left by this great musician, Silke Eberhard has become the leading authority on his music. She arranged his music for many different ensembles using many different instruments. Eventually the time has come for her to write her own music for the stunning new tentet. The new CD is comprised of her original compositions which are a testimony to her strength and imagination as an arranger and a top-flight improviser as well. She has discovered a new world of sound, and it is thrilling to hear her say: “This is just a start, and I have lots of new ideas”.
